Work smarter, not harder! That’s how we operate.
If there is a tool that can help us be more productive with our day, we are game to give it a try.
In that spirit, we’ve been using Chrome extensions quite a bit.
And if you are like us, you spend a huge chunk of time working online. Chrome extensions can be an excellent way to work smarter and use your time wisely.
So to help you out, here is a list of some of our favorite, time-saving Chrome extensions.
Our Favorite Time-Saving Chrome Extensions
1. Boomerang for Gmail
Send your Gmail emails later! This extension is ideal if you are a busy business owner but don’t want anyone to know you are working at 2:00 am.
2. Honey
Like to shop online? If so, Honey is for you! It automatically checks your shopping cart for discounts or better offers and applies them to your cart. I’ve saved a bunch of money with zero effort. And I like to save money.
3. Grammarly
Grammarly double-checks my spelling, grammar, and punctuation for errors. It also enhances vocabulary usage and generally makes sure I don’t make foolish mistakes.
4. Remove all Politics from Facebook
I spend a lot of time on social media (don’t judge- it’s my job!) and political posts can get exhausting. Removing them from my Facebook feed ensures that I keep my sanity, and as many of my friends as possible.
5. Open SEO Stats
Curious about a competitor’s website? Open SEO stats lets you peek at things like Alexa Rank, Compete Rank, and Quantcast Rank, in addition to getting information on backlinks, indexed pages, social, Whois, Geo IP location, and more.
6. Sprout Social
We use Sprout Social to manage social media for clients and our own business. Their Chrome extension makes sharing articles easy.
7. Todobook
I love Facebook, but sometimes I just need to get stuff done. This extension helps improve my productivity by limiting access to my Facebook newsfeed. Helpful if you need to access working parts of the platform without getting sidetracked.
8. Emoji Keyboard by EmojiOne™
If you use social media on your desktop or laptop and get frustrated when you have to find, copy, and paste an emoji, this extension is for you. It gives you the pop-up emoji keyboard you’ve been looking for on a desktop.
9. Nimbus Screenshot & Screen Video Recorder
An excellent tool for screen captures! If you need to pull and edit screenshots for presentations or training, Nimbus will save you a ton of time.
All of these Chrome extensions are easy to search and find.
Another thing we love about Chrome extensions – if we don’t like them or aren’t using them, uninstalling them is very easy.
- Click on the three stacked dots in the corner of the Chrome toolbar
- Click on “More Tools…”
- Click on “Extensions”
- Find the extension you want to delete and click the trashcan icon
