So how do you get the right followers? And how do you get them to follow you?
Here are 7 ways to grow your Instagram followers the right way!
1. Engage
You are building a community! That means you can and should engage with others in that same community. Use the Explore tab, or hashtags, to find other accounts where you can connect.
2. Use Hashtags
Use hashtags strategically to increase your chances of being discovered. Consider location tags to connect with followers who are geographically close to you.
3. Be Consistent
Post regularly. Don’t be left behind on Instagram because you aren’t offering new content. Additionally, the algorithm likes consistency. Don’t forget to go and respond to any comments.
4. Vary Content
Instagram is more than just posting a photo in your feed. Consider using the other content features available. Stories are getting increasingly more eyeballs. Experiment with video. There’s even an Instagram Live feature as well as Instagram TV (IGTV).
4. Share Content
Your followers are also producing content. Share it! Pick and choose the best content and ask for permission to share it. (Hint: Most people will say yes!)
5. Be Timely
Consider the time of day you post content. You’ll want to make sure your grams are pushed out when most people would see it organically. Choose the optimal time for your followers by using the Instagram Insights tab (in the app).
