Residential Development: According to Huntsville’s 2023 Development Review, 4,693 residential units were granted certificates of occupancy, the most since records have been kept. That represents a 26.3% increase in certificates of occupancy over 2022, in which the previous record was set.

Merger: Southern States Bancshares, Inc. and CBB Bancorp have officially announced their merger agreement. Under this agreement, Southern States will acquire CBB Bancorp and integrate it into its operations. After the merger’s completion, Southern States will emerge as the surviving entity, absorbing CBB Bancorp and its subsidiary, Century Bank of Georgia, into its structure.
