Opened: Hyatt has opened Hyatt Studios Huntsville, expanding its upper-midscale extended-stay brand in Alabama. The new hotel features apartment-style rooms with in-room kitchens and flexible living space, adding another extended-stay lodging option to Huntsville’s hotel inventory.

Coming Soon: L.L.Bean is opening its first-ever Alabama store in Huntsville, the retailer announced this week. The new location will be part of the Parkway Place shopping center and is expected to offer the brand’s outdoor apparel and gear to customers in the region.

Awarded: General Dynamics’ Huntsville office will work on a $1.085 billion Air Force space development contract awarded by the Space Development Agency, with tasks that include verifying and validating system readiness and performance for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture program. The contract modification raises the total ceiling and covers work across multiple locations including Huntsville, Scottsdale, Arizona and Grand Forks, North Dakota, with performance expected through August 2027.
