Government

State:  A U.S. District Judge has ordered the Alabama Secretary of State to stop a purge of the Alabama voter roles.

The U.S. Department of Justice and the Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice are suing the Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen over a program to remove 3,251 registered voters from the state’s voter rolls. The DOJ says the program violates the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 by removing names in a systemic program to close to the Nov. 5 election

Delivered: BAE Systems delivered 400 2-Color Advanced Warning Systems to the U.S. Army as part of the Limited Interim Missile Warning System program.

Designed to protect utility, heavy-lift, and attack helicopters, these missiles aim to enhance the survivability of Army aircrews by using multi-spectral sensors and machine-learning algorithms to detect and counter sophisticated missile threats.
