Development

Funding: The City of Huntsville has secured a $21.6 million federal grant to help revamp Holmes Avenue. The grant will provide significant safety enhancements along a 3.25-mile stretch between downtown and the campus of the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Expansion: CFD Research Corp. expands operations in Cummings Research Park. The new facility adds 21,967 square feet in the former Davidson Technologies building, offering 40 additional offices and room for further growth. A naming contest among employees has dubbed the new site the “Discovery Center,” reflecting its location on Discovery Drive.
